Fire at St.George church in Banitsa
Unconfirmed rumours indicate that the St.George church in the centre of the village of Banitsa caught fire yesterday (August 2, 2005).

A close source of mine in Greece has let me know that a fire has ravaged the inside and roof of Sveti Georgi in Banitsa. The rumour has been confirmed and more pictures are available in our photo gallery :
